With twins! The stakes are high and the Congregation is coming for Matthew and Diana and their unborn children. Not to mention that, as shown in the trailer, Diana is very pregnant. Having broken the covenant, and with Peter Knox having killed Diana’s aunt Emily, the stakes are higher than ever.
Now in Season 3 it seems Matthew and Diana have returned to their own time and their family and friends. They did get to meet the past versions of Ysabeau and Philippe however, as well as introduce the fan favorite character of Gallowglass. Season 2 found Matthew and Diana separated from most of their friends and family as they traveled through Elizabethan London. What happens in the A Discovery of Witches season 3 trailer And now we have a first look trailer and a tease of exactly what month we can expect to join Matthew and Diana in their adventures again. It was teased after the Season 2 finale that the show will return in 2022. Not surprising given that it is based off of a trilogy of books by Deborah Harkness, but it will be hard to say goodbye.

The supernatural drama, which airs on Sky TV in the UK and is available on Sundance Now and AMC+ for streaming, will soon return for its third and final season. The ending left us wanting more and it seems our wishes are about to be answered. Season 2 of A Discovery of Witches was dramatic and heart pounding, bringing back the characters we loved and giving us a host of new characters to love.
